Where is the justice?

A four year old raped and murdered. On the most auspicious day of the year for the killer, victim and the country they reside in. And, where they consider being the most holiest and sacred of places – a mosque? Two months later, the killer is sentenced to death. Is that justice? For a family who has lost their little one, this cannot be justice. Though this is the most a court can hand down as verdict, it makes me want to ask is there a way to punish a person by more than one very painful death?
